Wrapping
I try to wrap three presents every day so that it doesn’t become irksome but is enjoyable. I was able to do that every day except Thursday and Friday. Thursday, I had an eye appointment in Yarmouth. We were so late getting back from it that we stopped at 3 Fools and got pizza. Otherwise, if I’d cooked, we would not have had supper till after 8 pm.
Then Friday I had a very long and difficult dental appointment, also in Yarmouth. I got out of there with my mouth put together but shaking and starving, but I had to wait till the numbness wore off to eat anything So, breakfast @ 7 am and then finally lunch @ 3 pm. I was so ravenous, I ate so much, I barely ate anything for supper. A topsy-turvy day. I was in a fair amount of pain.
I had trouble sleeping last night because I was physically so uncomfortable, but finally @ 1:30, I fell asleep and slept till 6. Better than nothing, but not what I needed.
This morning, Tasha came over here and Melenie, who is in Ptown visiting, came and picked us up to go to Fannizzi’s for lunch; that’s my t Ptown restaurant. When we returned here, I gave Mel her holiday presents. Woody was doing the shopping today as he couldn’t yesterday—my long dental appointment in Yarmouth—and seeing a potential interviewee in Harwich.
After Mel left; I went to work. Wrote this blog. Wrapped 3 more presents. Programmed DVR thru Monday. Then we went to supper @ Tasha’s, to celebrate her birthday and give her her birthday presents. Her birthday was actually Friday, but that was a totally lost day. I am still stiff today from the dental ordeal and still sore in a couple of places.
I try had to find gifts the recipient will actually enjoy and/or use. Woody is harder than our friends to shop for as he always says he doesn’t want anything, But he does. I have to guess. It’s easier with some others; some are trickier. I always remember my friend John Nichols these days, as I always sent him a package of homemade relish and chutney for the holidays.
Michigan is not in the playoffs and their bowl game is not for a while, so no football till tomorrow. Actually, after firing their coach, I have no idea what to expect from Big Blue for seasons to come. Sic transit gloria mundi. I was pleased that the Falcons beat the Bucs, but we ae both nervous about the Pats v the Bills. But it was so much more fun watching them this year. Go Pats.
